Final Installment of Fall Lecture Series

Join us tomorrow evening for the final talk in our Fall Lecture Series!!! Dr. Kyle Stevens, an assistant professor in the Department of English, will present "Size Matters: Comedy, Performance, and Stereotype in 'La cage aux folles'.” The talk will begin at 6:30 p.m. in Room 114 of Belk Library. It is free and open to the public.

Nov. 3rd Film Screening

Join us this Thursday, November 3rd, for a special screening of "Forbidden: Undocumented and Queer in Rural America." The film follows the journey of Moises Serrano, a young activist from North Carolina fighting for rights in the face of oppression stemming from his position as both a gay man and an undocumented immigrant. The film will be followed by a discussion with the filmmaker, Tiffany Rhynard, and Moises Serrano.  The event will take place in Room 114 of Belk Library at 8 p.m....

Women's Studies joins new department

As of July 1, 2013, the Women's Studies program will be a constituent program within the newly-formed Department of Cultural, Gender, and Global Studies, in the College of Arts & Sciences. The other programs in the new department will be Global Studies and Interdisciplinary Studies.
