Reclaiming Intersections: An Exhibit of Student Work
The opening will be on Thursday March 15 from 7:30-9pm in the Belk Library.
Opening evening we are also hosting a zine making party around the theme of Reclaiming Intersections. Snacks will be provided. Join us, and bring friends!
This exhibit features work produced by students in the Introduction to LGBTQ Studies class (GWS 2600, taught by Dr. stef shuster). As a part of a great roster of GWS events in March we are collaborating with the Library to host this exhibit to bring more students into conversation around LGBTQ+ issues and intersectionality as a lens through which we can make sense of the oppression and resistance that people experience, and engage in.
Co-sponsored by Appalachian's Gender, Women's and Sexuality Studies program gws.appstate.edu and the Belk Library and Information Commons library.appstate.edu
Special thank you to Jenn Hatale and Hannah Pope for their help.
